INFUSION THERAPY

For certain pathologies that cannot be treated orally, treatment is administered via the peripheral or central intravenous route.
Infusion therapy maintains nutritional balance and enables continuous flow therapies such as antibiotics or chemotherapy.
The main methods of administration for infusion therapy are as follows:

  • Gravity ;
  • By infusion pump ;
  • By portable dispenser ;
  • By syringe pump.

THE PATHOLOGIES CONCERNED

Our team intervenes as soon as the medical prescription is issued, either on the ward where the patient is hospitalized, or at the patient’s home after the consultation, to organize and coordinate the medical-technical service with the prescribing department.

The medico-technical services provided in the patient’s home concern the administration of :

  • antibiotic therapy for long-term, chronic or recurrent illnesses;
  • cancer chemotherapy;
  • antiviral and antifungal treatment;
  • for pain relief when oral treatment is not possible;
  • vasodilator and anti-aggregant treatment ;
  • medicines for the treatment of congenital or acquired blood diseases;
  • parenteral nutrition.
